Now that's out of the way I wanna talk to you about a bizarre film I caught at The Sage's (Newcastle) Americana festival. It's called The Devil and Daniel Johnston and was quite possibly the most moving documentary (hence lack of a review. I don't do documentaries) I have ever seen.
It's about a rubbish (at least in my opinion. The film calls him "cult") musician named Daniel Johnston. He has manic depression and quite possibly one of the worst life stories ever. I recommend you check it out. Although, it's not for the faint of heart.
As for Johnston's music; have a listen. I don't like it but music is exceptionally subjective. He's on tour later this year. I implore you to only go and see him if you like his music. Don't go to take the piss out of him. I do like the tour's artwork though:
I've been losing a lot of followers on Twitter recently. I have no idea why, I've been updating as normal. If anyone would like to explain what I'm doing wrong send me a tweet.
